Looks like a man is drawing the arms of the clock from behind

When you first look at it

You maybe intrigued and may wonder if there is a man behind the glass who is wiping out the arm of the clock and drawing it again to show the correct time.  The clock has been at the Schiphol Airport and has been of interest to many travelers.

It is a unique piece of Art designed by the Artist Maarten Baas, who came up with the idea.  You can stand there and watch for hours and see him wipe the hands of the clock and draw and redraw.  You can see him walk away, pick up a mug, drink from it, appear and disappear.

In reality there is no one behind the Clock Glass.  It is a movie that took 12 hours to film.  Maarten Baas, spent 12 Hours filming the complete cycle and then it just gets repeated.

It is hard to miss at the Schiphol Airport.  There is another one at the

Rijksmuseum – The Museum of the Netherlands - in Amsterdam
